We’re looking for female journalists to create and edit video content for web and social media distribution for Femme Nouveau. Femme Nouveau (pronounced fem nu-vo) is a digital lifestyle magazine that offers practical lifestyle solutions for millennial women through work, play, and love. Coverage includes travel & leisure, health, career paths of millennial women, and relationships, to name a few.

The ideal candidate is high energy, personable, has a dynamic and compelling personality, and is great at storytelling. A background in journalism is not required, but we do desire candidates who have a passion for media and being on camera. Candidates should have a high-level of drive and be willing to learn basic video editing techniques and self-direct content on-the-go. Strong collaboration & communication skills needed since the position is remote. Must be able to adapt to changing show styles, schedules and feedback.

The schedule is flexible, as this is a freelance position. Journalists will produce 1-2 videos per month.

Preferred:

Candidates should be millennial females, between the ages of 22-37. This requirement is due to the nature of the content being produced, and the ability to reflect the audience perspective.
