How to Grow Your Hair with Apple Cider Vinegar
Okay Femmes. I am officially on Big Chop #2!
For those who don't know, a big chop is basically when you cut off all damaged hair and growing your hair in its most natural state. My first time doing a big chop was back in 2008, and I wore my hair short for about 6 years. You can read about my hair journey here. I grew my hair long and healthy up until last year but decided I wanted to cut it again for my 30th birthday.
Well, this process is rough. I feel like my hair is currently moving into the "ugly stage" of the big chop. It's either too short to style, and just long enough that it looks like an overgrown and old haircut. 🙄 It's definitely not a look. But since I've been through this before, I'm pretty confident I'll get through this easier than the first time around.
One thing that helps stimulate hair growth is apple cider vinegar (ACV) and a good scalp massage. ACV is loaded with nutrients, removes buildup from hair and scalp, and helps restore your hair's pH balance so that the hair follicle can grow in a healthy environment. Scalp massaging stimulates blood flow and circulation, so adding these two steps to your hair regimen is a great way to encourage faster hair growth.
Here's a quick video of how I use ACV and scalp massaging in my hair regimen. I received DP Hue ACV complimentary and the opinions on the product are my own. Check it out below! #dphueacv
